I decided to fight.
I’ll give the whole situation in England some time.
Sorry that I don’t write very much, but I am very tired at the moment.
So I decided to stay in England and don’t listen to people’s opinion so much.
I know that I am different and the advice of all the people I asked told me that I should be proud of it.
My decision for the moment is to make the best out of the situation and accept that I have to fight to get what I want.
I won’t write more for the moment, just so much:
A HUGE „THANK YOU“ TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HELPED ME THROUGH THAT SITUATION UP TO NOW. YOU GAVE ME GREAT ADVICE AND HELPED ME A LOT. THANX FOR THE LOVELY COMMENTS WHICH SHOWED ME THAT YOU WILL STAY BEHIND ME!

Deine Gedanken habe ich verfolgt und sie haben mich verfolgt.
Klar habe ich von allem Anfang an meine äussersten Bedenken dieser „Internatsmassnahme“ gegenüber gehegt. Da kommen ja allerhand Pflänzchen zusammen, nicht alle ganz freiwillig.. Das musst Du bedenken. Insofern bist Du da vielleicht tatsächlich eine löbliche Ausnahme (freiwillig!) Dafür kannst Du nichts, auch die Schule nicht, nicht mal die netten „Mitgefangenen“. Die sind ja evtl aus erzieherischen Gründen dort?
Und Du, meine Liebe, musst diesen Spannungszustand mit aushalten. Eine ziemliche Challenge!
Ich bewundere Dich dafür: Heimweh, Einsamkeit, Abgeschiedensein, Aussenseitertum – die ganze Palette, da wäre ich auch traurig.
Dass es in der Fremde nur in der TV Soap so cool ist, haben die Meisten erfahren, die es gewagt haben. Auch im AFS Austausch herrscht nur selten eitel Wonne.
Regula (Du weisst schon wer) hat in ihrem lang ersehnten Australienjahr sehr viel Flöte gespielt…
Sie war Gefangene im Luxusparadies am Swimmingpool und sonst war da keiner…
Und wenn Du doch noch ? früher etc das ist keine Schande. Ich finde es super, dass Du das so frei entscheiden kannst.
Lina, hat es auch so gemacht (sie war 20!) Sie hat die Tage gezählt und ist geblieben. Gestärkt kam sie zurück und hat es geschätzt, alles was es hier gibt. Na ja, alte Weisheit!

I love that poem!! It’s exactely what I can say for myself and my exchange year…In the beginning it was pretty much the same as it is for you now. Happily, I found a host family that made my exchange year worth it. And you know what – I stayed because of the exact same reasons!!
And, let me tell you – being different gets easier as soon as you can make up your mind on just about everything. Eventually you WILL start knowing what’s right and what’s wrong in YOUR opinion.

That you are different is difficult for the time being. But remember the physics camp. It was so much fun
Life’s not easy. Especially, if one chooses a different way to go.
But hey, it’s you! And as you can see there are people here who will enjoy to welcome you back
