Lady Ann meets England

{Dezember 27, 2008}   a small poem for a heartbreaker

When I ruled the worldthe end of an illusion

I can’t believe how safe I once felt

A being that lacked maturity

Just until you lifted me up high

Only to throw me to the cold floor.

I can’t help doubting this memory

That lies hiding somewhere in my mind

Are those promises sweet little lies

Gone as quickly as dead autumn leaves?

It seems so true when you make me smile

Luckiness suffocates me inside

Just because it’s unavoidable

Whenever you leave it kills my heart!

Now I’m forced to stare at the pieces

Of my vanishing self-confidence

And as soon as I realise this

I begin to mourn my shattered world.

If one day I told you all these things

You would say that I am a poor girl

But I never wanted sympathy

I only ever craved for your love.
